QVV Solutions is seeking an experienced Senior QA Manager. In this role you are responsible for the management, autonomous development and professionalization of quality management and internal quality systems.You take responsibility for the effectivemanagement of the QA Department, co-ordinating a team of Testers and establishing testing plans and processes across multiple platform projects including console, online and mobile. This is a challenging role which requires a confident and conscientious individual, capable of liaising with SeniorManagement across all disciplines, co-ordinating schedules to ensure that milestones are achieved. It is essential that candidates have previous experience motivating and managing a team, with a particular focus on developing and mentoring staff new to the industry.
Responsibilities
- Planning and creation of detailed test plans, allowing effective evaluation and sign off ofmultiple products across multiple formats.
- Quality planning and defect prevention as well as continuous improvement actions during project execution phase.
- Acting as the key contact with customers’/external auditors and taking responsibility for ensuring the execution of corrective actions.
- Promoting quality achievement and performance improvement across the organisation.
- Proof of qualification requirements, negotiate and find agreements with customers in cooperation with project leader.
- Support function (traveling if necessary).
- Determination of resource levels to support current and future QA requirements, including management of out-sourcing partners.
- Comprehensive evaluation of milestones and deliveries.
- Manage the creation of comprehensive test plans and schedules that are constantly updated throughout the development process.
- Quality and functionality evaluation of pre-release, public beta release, and pre-techversions of software.
- Responsible for quality of bug descriptions of any defects or design issues found during testing.
- Writing management system and investigation reports.
- Devise and execute solutions for any development related QA needs or problems,reproducing issues, delivering new builds and testing changes in a rapidly iterative environment.
- Identify and communicate issues pertaining to schedule, raising concern with Development Director when necessary.
- Management of external and offsite testing groups, if needed.
- Proactive leadership style, highly visible, committed to promoting a positive attitudes, safe behavior & continuous improvement.
- Complete other projects and activities as assigned by supervisor.
Requirements
- Bachelor or Master degree in computer science/informatics or equivalent technical area.
- 5+ years professional experience as a QA or other development position.
- Experience with quality system (ISO9001).
- ISTQB Foundation Level (CTFL).
- Good understanding of OOP principles, DB theory, algorithms.
- Knowledge/experience with SQL or PL/SQL.
- Good knowledge of Windows platforms and PC environment.
- Good command of English language (spoken and written).
- Ability to learn fast and work in dynamic environment experience and the ability to utilize basic networking principles.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills with previous experience managing a team of at least 5 staff.
- Creation of test concepts and test plans.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, and the ability to liaise effectively with a multi-disciplinary team.
- Passionate about quality and the importance of QA within the development process.
- Self-motivated, responsible and versatile.
Desired Competencies & Capabilities:
- ISTQB Advanced Level (CTAL).
- Programming experience with Java, C/C++/C# or VB Script.
- Experience with automated testing tools such as Tricentis Tosca Commander, HP QuickTest Pro, IBM Rational Functional Tester, Selenium, Test Maker, etc.
